Summary To perform accurate and timely clinical laboratory services using current technology. Duties And Responsibilities Following the laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient resultsMaintaining records which demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimensAdhering to the laboratory’s Quality Control policies and documenting all Quality Control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and instrument maintenanceFollowing the laboratory’s policies, including taking and documenting corrective actions, whenever test systems are not within the laboratory’s established acceptable levels of performanceBeing able to identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or test result reporting and correcting the problem or notifying the appropriate supervisorDocumenting all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications
