Medical Laboratory Scientist

Job Summary Performs and reports clearly defined laboratory procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsible for assigned shifts, with possible overtime and callbacks. Supports ongoing learning and completes assigned goals. Responsibilities Receives, identifies, organizes, and prioritizes specimens for accurate and timely testing.Performs laboratory procedures and reports results.Conducts quality control, proficiency testing, routine instrument maintenance, and inventory management.Ensures positive patient identification to minimize errors and adverse outcomes.Evaluates results, draws conclusions, and supports continuous learning.Provides instruction to personnel and students as needed. Qualifications And Skills Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited program.Preferred: Clinical laboratory experience, ASCP certification.Minimum: Basic computer literacy.Licensure: National certification aligned with Federal and State regulations.
