About the role

The position is responsible for overseeing the university's technology infrastructure and ensuring its efficient operation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the university's network systems, including servers, routers, and switches.
  • Oversee the implementation and support of new technologies and software solutions.
  • Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students as needed.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and ensure data backup procedures are in place.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of technology across campus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in IT management or a similar field.
  • Experience with network administration, server management, and cloud computing platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
  • Experience with network security protocols and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud services.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
