Location: UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital, 1451 El Camino Real, The Villages, FL 32159. Employment Type: Part-Time.

Responsibilities

• Performs skin punctures to obtain blood specimens for laboratory testing.
• Responsible for prompt, accurate processing of test requisitions, accurate charging, registering and ordering tests for outpatients, informing techs of stats and other timed or urgent testing.
• Telephone patients, physicians and nursing units when required.
• Maintains neat and organized collection trays, collection areas and work areas.
• Demonstrates logical, professional behaviors under demanding and stressful conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• National Phlebotomy Certification preferred.

Skills

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Schedule

4:00am - 12:30pm, variable including weekends.
