Responsibilities
- Obtaining, evaluating, processing and preparing specimens for testing.
- Interpreting provider orders and communicating with providers and patient care personnel.
- Maintaining urinalysis instrument and setting up quality control material.
- Reporting inventory shortages to lab manager/chief tech.
- Cooking assigned testing activity with other laboratory personnel.
- Performing data entry and communicating unusual or critical results.
- Managing faxing of patient reports.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- WA State Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification.
- Computer experience required.
- Ability to apply logical and scientific thinking to solve problems.
