Medical Laboratory Assistant | Leesburg Hospital Laboratory | Part-time | Days

Responsibilities

• Perform skin punctures to obtain blood specimens for laboratory testing.
• Promptly and accurately process test requisitions, charge accurately, register and order tests for outpatients, inform techs of stats and other timed or urgent testing.
• Telephone patients, physicians and nursing units when required.
• Maintain neat and organized collection trays, collection areas and work areas.
• Demonstrate logical, professional behaviors under demanding and stressful conditions.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Preferred - Phlebotomy Certification.
• Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
