Medical Lab Technician/Scientist

This role involves performing waived and non-waived laboratory tests in accordance with CLIA '88 standards, ensuring accuracy and timeliness under supervision. It includes assisting with compliance to accrediting agencies such as JCAHO, CAP, and OSHA, and may involve specimen collection, receipt, and processing. The position requires physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 75 pounds, use personal protective equipment, and handle biological hazards safely. Ideal candidates exhibit maturity, responsibility, strong reading, writing, math skills, and effective communication. They must be detail-oriented, organized, and possess basic computer skills, with a focus on customer service. Qualifications include an associate or bachelor’s degree in a laboratory science, equivalent training, or experience meeting CLIA requirements. Certifications such as MLT (ASCP, AMT) are preferred, along with experience in phlebotomy and specimen processing.
