Medical Lab Technician-Crestwood Medical Center-FT-2nd shift

Qualifications

• Education: AS degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Education: 60 semester hours including 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses (6 hours Chemistry, 6 hours Biology, and 12 hours in Chemistry, Biology or medical laboratory technology).
• Experience: One year experience is preferred.
• Training: Either completion of an approved/accredited clinical laboratory or medical laboratory training program, which may include 60 semester hours specified above, or three months of documented laboratory training in each specialty in which the individual performs high complexity testing.

Requirements

• Education: Degree must be in Medical Laboratory Science or one of the biological or chemical sciences.
• Licenses/Certificates: Preferred certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician, MLT (ASCP), or Clinical Laboratory Technician, CLT (NCA), or equivalent and/or obtain certification within 18 months of hire.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Moderate knowledge of medical terminology.
