Medical Lab Tech or Medical Lab Scientist- FT

Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) wage range: $33.90–$53.76. Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) wage range: $38.31–$66.35.

Schedule

Full Time, Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM–8:30 PM, including holidays and on-call shifts. Shift and days may change.

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform, evaluate, and report CLIA ’88 waived, moderately complex, and highly complex testing, covering pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical functions.
• Perform day-to-day MLT/MLS duties, including quality control, quality assurance, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and supply inventory monitoring.
• Establish and maintain communication with healthcare providers, patients, and hospital personnel.

Requirements

• Minimum of an associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Completion of a certified MLT/MLS program.
• MLT/MLS certification by ASCP, AMT, AABB, or equivalent organization.
• Minimum of 3 years of generalist experience in a hospital laboratory, including blood banking and phlebotomy preferred.
• Ability to work independently.
• MA-P phlebotomy license required within 6 months of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, or negligible force constantly to move objects.
• Walking or standing to a significant degree.
• Requires reaching, handling, fingering, and feeling, extending arms and hands.
