Medical Lab Tech Lead

About the role

Leads the operational and technical management of the laboratory section, ensuring rigorous quality control, method validation, and data integrity, including assessment of linearity and result correlation. Directs daily activities while ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements, policies, and procedural standards.

Education

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or relevant medical or scientific discipline required

Experience

• At least five years of experience in a clinical laboratory
• Supervisory experience preferred

Certification

• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP BOC or equivalent

Additional qualifications (Career Ladder position)

• Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
• At least one year of clinical experience
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent
• Internal candidates: required to submit and meet Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements
• External candidates: required to complete Path and Lab ICCE Career Ladder requirements within 90 days in position
