Medical Lab Scientist, PRN, Baptist Silverleaf

Responsibilities
- Maintain expertise and perform technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in laboratory areas where applicable.
- Maintain records of performance as defined in the SOP manuals.
- Supervise by Director and Section Supervisors; can perform all responsibilities without on-site supervision.
- Serve as General Supervisor and Charge Technologist in the absence of other lab supervisors or MTs.
- Instruct new employees and students.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Medical Technologist - Generalist license in the State of Florida before hire.
- Have at least one year of working experience as a Medical Technologist.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree Required.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
- Certified Medical Technologist (MT) Preferred.
- Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Preferred.
- Licensed Medical Technologist Required.
- Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technician Required.

- Strong technical skills in laboratory procedures.
- Ability to work independently and under supervision.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule
The Medical Lab Scientist works on a night shift rotating schedule, with a smaller team of two other Medical Technologists.
