About The Unit

The Point of Care Unit is part of Corewell Health Regional Laboratory, which serves various patients and providers across multiple locations including Butterworth, Meijer Heart Center, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, and outpatient draw sites.

About The Hospital

Corewell Health Regional Laboratory is located on the Butterworth campus and provides services to inpatients from Butterworth (including Level 1 Trauma Center), Meijer Heart Center, and Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. It also serves many outpatient draw sites and offices, along with medical examiner cases across several counties in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field
• 1 year of relevant experience in a related field
• Possession of one of the following certifications upon hire:
• CRT-Medical Technologist, Certified (MT) - ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology for Corewell Health labs except for Toxicology
• CRT-Medical Laboratory Scientist - ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology for Spectrum Health labs except for Toxicology
• CRT-American Medical Technologist, Certified (AMT) - AMT American Medical Technologists for Corewell Health labs except for Toxicology
• CRT-Clinical Toxicology - AACC American Association for Clinical Chemistry for Toxicology Department

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred CRT-Medical Technologist, Certified (MT) - ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology
• Preferred CRT-Medical Laboratory Scientist - ASCP American Society for Clinical Pathology
• Preferred CRT-American Medical Technologist, Certified (AMT) - AMT American Medical Technologists

Pay

Hourly rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule

Day shift: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., variable weekend frequency
