MEDICAL LAB SCIENTIST II

Job Summary

Independently performs various qualitative, quantitative clinical laboratory testing and quality control in all section(s) of the laboratory: ie., microbiology, chemistry, blood bank, hematology, and phlebotomy/urinalysis. All activities performed are in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards. Medical Laboratory Scientist must be a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in medical Laboratory technology or related science required
• ASCP, NCA or equivalent certification
• Laboratory computer knowledge and skills preferred
• Experience in performance of lab duties preferred, but not required
