Medical Lab Scientist I

Role Overview: This position is for a full-time Medical/Clinical Lab Scientist working night shifts in Fallon, NV. It involves performing accurate laboratory testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and serving as a departmental resource. Responsibilities include specimen collection and processing, calibration and maintenance of equipment, and participating in quality assurance and process improvement activities. Key Responsibilities Perform laboratory tests with precision, troubleshoot issues, and ensure result validity.Monitor quality control, abnormal results, and departmental indicators to maintain high standards.Manage inventory and contribute to financial and process improvements.Train staff, participate in departmental projects, and provide educational support to internal and external customers.Assist with specimen collection and processing, maintaining specimen integrity and proper identification. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science, chemistry, or biology, with relevant certification or completion documentation.Competency in phlebotomy and familiarity with laboratory instruments and computer systems.Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, medical terminology, and regulatory standards.Preferred certifications include MLS/MT or categorical from recognized agencies.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
