Pride Health is hiring Medical Laboratory Scientist to support our client’s medical facility based in Wichita, KS. This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist Location: Wichita, KS Schedule: M-F, 2:00pm-10:30pm Pay Range/Salary Range: $33 - $35 Contract Duration: 3+ months Job Description:Job titles such as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Medical Technologist, or Clinical Laboratory Scientist are interchangeableWork environment/department will be specified in requirementsDetermine specimen acceptability based on established criteriaPerform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental SOPsMonitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure proper functionMake technical decisions related to testing and problem-solvingPrepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and quality controlsReport accurate and timely test results to support patient carePerform and document preventive maintenance and quality control proceduresMaintain and restock testing bench supplies as neededAssist with specimen processing when requiredMaintain a safe work environment and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)RequirementsBachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or equivalent meeting local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements2-4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience requiredState Medical Technologist license.
