Medical Instrument Technician (Vascular)

Role: Senior vascular technician/sonographer performing comprehensive noninvasive vascular diagnostic examinations to assist in diagnosing vascular disorders. Responsibilities Perform complex vascular ultrasound procedures including Doppler, B-mode, duplex imaging, segmental pressures, and photoplethysmography.Interpret and document imaging data, identify pathologies such as aneurysms, thromboses, stenoses, and plaque formations.Obtain patient histories, conduct physical assessments, and adhere to examination protocols.Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring high-quality imaging and data accuracy.Provide preliminary findings to support clinical decision-making.Coordinate appointments, communicate effectively with team members, and support research protocols.Mentor students and staff, promote a positive patient experience, and ensure proper disinfection and supplies management. Qualifications & Skills: Proficiency in vascular anatomy, pathology, waveform analysis, and intracranial vascular exams.Current registration as a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred.3-5 years of full-time experience in vascular procedures and independent work capabilities.Knowledge of ultrasound physics, hemodynamics, and equipment operation.Strong interpersonal, organizational, technical skills, and critical thinking.Physical ability to stand, lift, manipulate equipment, and operate computer systems. This is a full-performance position requiring proficiency in vascular ultrasound procedures, technical expertise, and effective communication within a multidisciplinary team.
