About the role
The Multi-Modality Technologist is qualified to perform a minimum of two imaging procedures, such as MRI, CT, diagnostic US, IR, Radiation Therapy, Mammography, or Nuclear Medicine. This role supports routine operation of multiple modalities, providing on-call coverage as needed, and focuses on patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Perform imaging procedures
- Ensure quality standards
- Communicate exam details to patients
- Troubleshoot equipment and software
- Maintain competency in at least two modalities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited radiology program
- Preferred associate’s degree in radiologic technology
- 1–2 years of clinical radiology experience
- Licensure or certification in two modalities through recognized certifying bodies such as ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or ARDMS
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
Skills
- Knowledge of radiographic procedures
- Effective communication
- Familiarity with imaging and patient care equipment
- Computer troubleshooting abilities
