About the role
The Medical Imaging Specialist (MIS) is an unlicensed multi-skilled worker who supports patient care by performing specific technical tasks and support functions as delegated by a licensed provider. The MIS works under the supervision of a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, performing exams in Computed Tomography to department standards in a timely and effective manner as part of a team serving inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Perform Computed Tomography exams to department standards.
- Support patient care through technical tasks and functions as delegated by a licensed provider.
- Work within a team environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. (required).
- Graduate of a patient care program (e.g., CNA, MA, or EMT) (preferred).
- BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required).
- Minimum six (6) months of pediatric experience (preferred).
- Ability to work within a team environment and manage multiple priorities in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant (MA) certification (preferred).
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (preferred).
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification (preferred).
- Bilingual skills (preferred).
Pay
$24.15 - $35.00 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience.
