Medical Imaging Resource Assistant
About the role
We're looking for a dedicated Medical Imaging Resource Assistant to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our [clinical/support/administrative] team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Assists Radiologist in communications with physician offices and patients including but not limited to: critical value communications, mammography results, requests previous studies of other facilities for Radiologists. Communicates addendum requests to Radiologist.
- Communicates with physicians with hold & call patients.
- Monitors timely IVF ultrasound reading and communication to physician offices.
- Maintains patient record management by retrieving records for physicians and patients, maintaining a release of records form/log whenever appropriate, and requesting the digitizing of films for medical records and access in iSite/PCI.
- Retrieves and provides assistance to physicians and staff with locating and printing of reports from PACS, maintaining autofax reports, and acting on failed fax notices by resending reports or manually faxing of reports.
- Faxes reports to physicians whenever necessary.
- Processes and maintains log of results and processes reminder letters for mammography assistance.
- Affords assistance in putting together pertinent patient paperwork for MRI/CT exams.
- Delivers compassionate, patient-centered care in alignment with Saratoga Hospital values.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support health, healing, and service excellence.
- Performs [clinical or administrative] responsibilities with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Uses hospital systems and tools to document care and support operations.
- Continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes and support patient and staff satisfaction.
- Serves as a positive, professional representative of our hospital and community.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Medical terminology is preferred.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills with the ability to work autonomously.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to providing patient-first, high-quality service.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

$18.00 – $25.38 hourly, based on experience and qualifications.
