About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Registry Representative to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will support healthcare professionals by checking patients in, managing patient records, and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately. Your strong communication skills and attention to detail will help ensure a smooth and positive experience for our patients while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, medical staff and the public, answer incoming telephone calls, schedule appointments, enter orders and provide general information to customers.
  • Participate in the resolution of customer problems or collect necessary data and follow through to appropriate person for problem resolution.
  • Provide ongoing clerical and administrative support, including entering patient information into the computer, scanning documents into PACS, maintaining patient records, and assisting in the facilitation of patient medical records.
  • Support in the acquisition and distribution of digital patient records, digitizing, formatting, and uploading film-based or digital images into PACS, and fulfilling requests for images and reports.
  • Process patient discharges, coordinate patient appointments, and prepare patient charts and transcription notes.
  • Aid in pre and post procedure room preparation, ensuring procedure rooms are stocked appropriately, and assisting patients as necessary.
  • Handle ongoing face-to-face contact with patients and staff while functioning in a busy medical office environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Must be able to exercise good judgment, effectively communicate, and use discretion with patients, staff and the general public.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy is required.
  • Knowledge of filing and/or retrieval systems preferred.

Qualifications

  • Preferred qualifications include prior experience as a transporter, EMT and/or nursing assistant, working knowledge of medical terminology, previous experience working with electronic medical records and insurance, and knowledge of filing and/or retrieval systems.

Pay

$20 to $26.75 wage based on experience and education. Additional Pay Shift Differential for weekends, Annual Increases, Paid Time Off.

Schedule

Available shifts, Full-time, 40 hours per week, Varied Shift Differentials: $2.00/hr. Weekend - $2.50/hr. Evening - $6.00/hr. Night.
