Main Responsibilities

Leadership Requirements

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive transformation strategy for Early Medical that aligns with Sanofi's broader R&D integration objectives
  • Create a high-performing, diverse team
  • Build a culture of innovation, thoughtful risk-taking, and continuous improvement
  • Develop talent pipelines to ensure access to cutting-edge skills and expertise
  • Drive strategic decision-making for early-stage asset development
  • Balance scientific rigor with business objectives in asset evaluation
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to optimize asset development pathways
  • Ensure alignment between early asset strategy and overall portfolio objectives
  • Medical partner to cross-functional teams for transformation across medical value chain
  • Drive competitive intelligence and support establishment of strategic partnerships with key academic institutions for Clinical Development
  • Ensure shaping of clinical development programs to address US unmet Medical needs
  • Ensure shaping of protocols to also meet local clinical practice and support faster operational execution and patient centric strategy

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) in life sciences, medicine, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry with Progressive leadership roles in local and global Medical Affairs
  • Minimum 5+ years of people management experience, including leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Previous experience in Clinical Development and/or Medical Studies preferred
