Medical Gas Installer - Mellville, NY - Traveling Position

About the role
This is a traveling Medical Gas Technician/Installer position responsible for installation and repairs on medical gas piping distribution systems for hospital Engineering Departments. The role requires a general knowledge of NFPA 99 codes and regulations. Travel is required outside the NYC Metro market and occasionally within the continental United States.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of duties in repairing and installing medical gas systems.
- Maintain vacuum pumps, medical air compressors, and medical gas manifolds.
- Repair medical gas equipment using power and hand tools.
- Install medical gas piping and components of the medical gas distribution system.
- Evaluate repairs and submit information to prepare proposals for customers.
- Respond to emergency calls in the facility and make emergency repairs as needed.
Requirements
- ASSE 6010 certification for installations of medical gas systems.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- ASSE Section IX certification for brazing medical gas piping.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
