ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers
  • Contacts patients and provides delivery windows
  • Delivers, picks up, and maintains various types of home medical equipment and medical supplies
  • Evaluates homes and caregivers to ensure a safe and appropriate environment for equipment
  • Instructs customers and/or families in the proper and safe use of equipment and/or supplies
  • May collect money from customers for private pay charges as directed
  • Cleans and tests equipment according to company policy and manufacturers’ specifications
  • Clean, organizes, and maintains delivery vehicle according to company policy
  • Accepts on-call service rotation as required by the company

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger functions, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear
  • Sometimes required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Regularly lifts and / or moves up to 70 pounds and occasionally lifts and / or moves up to 100 lbs
  • Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
  • Driving during inclement weather in all seasons

REQUIRED LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS

  • Clean Driving Record
  • Valid Chauffer’s License
  • Current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate or ability to obtain a DOT Medical Examiners Certificate

OTHER SKILLS

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of prioritization skills and appropriate sense of urgency to fulfill services
  • Ability to read and write and perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Exceptional customer service skills

EDUCATION

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
