ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers
- Contacts patients and provides delivery windows
- Delivers, picks up, and maintains various types of home medical equipment and medical supplies
- Evaluates homes and caregivers to ensure a safe and appropriate environment for equipment
- Instructs customers and/or families in the proper and safe use of equipment and/or supplies
- May collect money from customers for private pay charges as directed
- Cleans and tests equipment according to company policy and manufacturers’ specifications
- Clean, organizes, and maintains delivery vehicle according to company policy
- Accepts on-call service rotation as required by the company
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger functions, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear
- Sometimes required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly lifts and / or moves up to 70 pounds and occasionally lifts and / or moves up to 100 lbs
- Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
- Driving during inclement weather in all seasons
REQUIRED LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
- Clean Driving Record
- Valid Chauffer’s License
- Current DOT Medical Examiners Certificate or ability to obtain a DOT Medical Examiners Certificate
OTHER SKILLS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of prioritization skills and appropriate sense of urgency to fulfill services
- Ability to read and write and perform basic mathematical calculations
- Exceptional customer service skills
EDUCATION
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
