They collaborate with Medical Physicists and Radiation Oncologists to determine optimal field placement, support tumor localization with imaging modalities, and assist in creating immobilization and beam-modifying devices. Key duties include supporting treatment simulations, ensuring accurate documentation, and assisting in implementing treatment plans. The role involves teaching, participating in clinical research, and ensuring patient safety and care quality. Qualifications: Certification in Medical Dosimetry (MDCB), at least one year of treatment planning experience, with preferred credentials including a bachelor’s degree, ARRT certification, and experience with Brachytherapy. Essential skills include decision-making, collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and empathy. Physical demands include visual acuity, manual dexterity, lifting, patient transport, and potential driving requirements.
