Medical Director, Virtual Care

For our client, we are seeking a Medical Director, Virtual Care to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will provide clinical leadership for virtual primary care services, with a strong focus on physician collaboration and support for advanced practice providers. The Medical Director will help standardize clinical practice across multiple states, guide complex case management, and reinforce evidence-based care within a remote care environment. This position also plays an important part in onboarding, educating, and enabling clinical teams while ensuring alignment with applicable regulations and value-based care delivery. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $223,800 – $313,100 annually Responsibilities Serve as the primary physician collaborator and clinical resource for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants Provide consultation for complex clinical cases and scope-of-practice questions Establish standardized physician collaboration models across various states Promote evidence-based practice within the virtual care organization Support onboarding, education, and development of advanced practice providers regarding physician collaboration Lead a variable staffing pool physician model, ensuring adequate physician support Ensure clinical programs adhere to state and federal regulations Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related primary care specialty 10 unrestricted medical licenses, with potential for more 5 years of clinical practice experience Experience collaborating with virtual advanced practice providers within the last 2 years Knowledge of telehealth, virtual care delivery, and value-based care models Strong understanding of physician collaboration and advanced practice provider practice regulations Benefits Medical, dental, and vision benefits coverage 401(k) retirement savings plan Generous paid time off, including company and personal holidays Paid parental and caregiver leave Short-term and long-term disability insurance Life insurance and additional wellness opportunities Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
