Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain high standards of medical care and clinical protocols
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to associate veterinarians
- Promote consistency in patient care, client communication, and medical outcomes
- Support quality improvement initiatives and best practices
- Mentor veterinarians at all stages of their careers
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and growth-oriented culture
- Partner with hospital leadership on recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and retention efforts
- Lead doctor meetings and encourage continuing education and professional development
- Collaborate with leadership to achieve hospital goals and performance objectives
- Identify opportunities to expand services and improve efficiency
- Support client retention and growth through exceptional medical care and client experience
- Help guide strategic initiatives that strengthen the practice for the future
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Eligible for or currently holds Ohio veterinary license
- Strong interest in small animal medicine and surgery
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and client service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Minimum of 3 years of veterinary leadership experience
- Strong surgical skills; orthopedic experience is a plus
- Demonstrated success mentoring and developing veterinary teams
