About the Role

Allure Healthcare Service is seeking a Medical Director to oversee skilled nursing facilities (SNF) in the Quad Cities area. The physician will serve in a dual capacity as both Medical Director and attending physician for residents, collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage day-to-day care.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Medical Director for SNFs, participating in administrative and quality initiatives.
  • Attend and contribute to monthly quality assurance and process improvement meetings.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and provide guidance to facility staff.
  • Review and revise clinical guidelines to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Train and supervise facility clinical staff.
  • Act as attending physician for residents, providing high-quality, patient-centered primary care through rounding.
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses (e.g., infections) and chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes).
  • Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage resident care.
  • Utilize PointClickCare EHR system for documentation and participate in Chronic Care Management, Transitional Care, RPM, and other quality programs.
  • Supervise collaborating Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
  • Use electronic medical tools, including EHR systems and state/county platforms for Death Certificates and administrative tasks.

Schedule

  • Flexible shifts based on the physician’s schedule.
  • Minimum of 2-3 days per week at each facility.
  • Rounding times are flexible with no set start or end time; physicians typically begin between 7-10 a.m. and finish when their caseload is complete.

This is an in-person position.
