Medical Director - Physician

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director - Physician to lead clinical operations and ensure the highest standards of patient care. This role involves overseeing medical practices, providing expert guidance to healthcare teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a valid Alaska medical license to practice. The Medical Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality and effectiveness of our healthcare services. Duties Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for medical services within the organization.Oversee daily medical operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.Collaborate with healthcare staff to develop, implement, and review clinical policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations, including licensing requirements.Maintain an active medical license in Alaska, fulfilling all licensing requirements and renewals.Serve as a liaison between medical staff, administration, and external regulatory bodies.Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement efforts.Offer expert consultation on complex cases and support clinical staff in decision-making processes.Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous learning within the organization. Experience Proven experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting, preferably as a Medical Director or similar position.Extensive clinical experience as a practicing physician with relevant specialty expertise.Valid Alaska medical license is required; candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain this license prior to employment.Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in patient care.Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively and foster collaborative working relationships.Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex medical information clearly.
