Medical Director, Oncology (Genitourinary Focus)

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Medical Director Oncology (genitourinary Focus) to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will support clinical priorities focused on quality, patient-centered outcomes, and effective care delivery. You will collaborate with clinical leaders, operational teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve standards, workflows, and execution. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen care quality, team performance, and measurable outcomes within a life sciences environment.

Location & Compensation

Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $243,800 – $304,700 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute clinical strategies for the company's molecular diagnostic tools in GU cancers
• Lead design and implementation of clinical studies and treatment protocols integrating the company's technology
• Recruit and engage principal investigators (PIs) and clinical sites for company-sponsored studies; manage study timelines and budgets
• Advise on GU oncology product development, identifying unmet clinical needs and new opportunities
• Provide post-launch medical affairs support, including test result interpretation and healthcare provider consultation
• Serve as GU oncology expert for high-value engagements and events
• Lead medical education initiatives, including external training and creation of scientific materials

Qualifications

• M.D. required; board-certified or board-eligible in Radiation Oncology preferred
• Residency training in Radiation Oncology
• 3+ years of post-residency clinical experience in GU cancers as a primary treating radiation oncologist
• Deep knowledge of treatment paradigms and diagnostic workflows in GU cancers
• Minimum 3 years of clinical trial experience in academic, biotech, or pharmaceutical settings
