Medical Director - Nourish Medical
About Us
Health is the most important thing in life, and the American healthcare system is completely broken—poor outcomes, high cost, bad patient experience. We're building a new system from the ground up. Our mission is to improve people’s health by making it easy to live a healthy lifestyle. Nourish is the country's largest dietitian-led metabolic health clinic. We’re an AI-native digital health system matching patients with 10,000+ Registered Dietitians, physicians, medications, lab testing, and AI agents to deliver insurance-covered care across all 50 states. Founded four years ago, we've completed millions of appointments, tripled year-over-year, and partnered with health plans covering 200M+ Americans across 250+ health systems. In 2026 we raised a $100M Series C, bringing total funding to $215M. The round was led by Menlo Ventures, with participation from Thrive Capital, Index Ventures, J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners, Maverick Ventures, Y Combinator, BoxGroup, Atomico, Daybreak, and Operator Partners.
About The Role
As Medical Director, you will lead the clinical team of physicians and advanced practice providers who deliver care within our practice, owning the systems and processes that enable them to deliver excellent care as we scale. This is a new role that will be critical to growing our provider base while maintaining high clinical quality. You will develop and scale the medical team: hiring and directly managing the performance of frontline clinicians, all while building a collaborative clinical culture people want to stay in. You’ll partner closely with our Head of Dietetics to drive great cross-provider type experience and care. You'll be the clinical voice in cross-functional work with Product, Data, and Operations, ensuring what we build reflects the realities of delivering care, especially when it comes to our Provider product and experience. You'll help crack one of the most important questions in medicine today: how to balance the best of AI with the irreplaceably human core of great care.
This person will report into our Chief Medical Officer, owning the performance management of our Nourish medical clinicians, and work closely with the Clinical Strategy team on protocol development, quality standards, and care model design, as well as with Product, Data, and Operations. You'll be a key member of the clinical leadership team, helping shape how Nourish delivers high-quality metabolic care at scale. This role is full-time and open to NYC-based or remote candidates. Our office is located in Gramercy.
