Medical Director (Medicare Policy)

Responsibilities

• Support operations through case review on medical and regulatory matters
• Develop claim adjudication criteria requiring medical judgment
• Educate staff and the medical community about medical policy and program administration
• Develop and update medical policy in consultation with regulatory personnel and medical consultants
• Review statistical data on unusual medical service utilization
• Research new or controversial medical procedures and technology

Qualifications

• Doctorate in a job-related field required
• Active state medical license and current board certification in a recognized specialty required
• 5 years post-graduate experience in direct patient care required
• Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required

$200,000 – $250,000 annually
