About the role
We're seeking a compassionate Medical Director (MD/DO) to provide medical leadership and oversee patient care in our outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP). Responsibilities
- Provide medical oversight for all patient care and treatment services
- Conduct admission, annual, and follow-up physical examinations
- Manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and medication orders
- Collaborate with nurses, counselors, and clinical leadership to ensure exceptional patient care
- Provide clinical guidance, physician leadership, and staff education
- Participate in treatment team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with DEA, SAMHSA, HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and Virginia regulations
- Support positive patient outcomes through evidence-based addiction medicine
Requirements
- Active Physician (MD or DO) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Active DEA registration with Schedules II, IIN, III, IV, and V authority
- Current Medicare and Medicaid credentialing
- One (1) year of addiction medicine or substance use disorder experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP), HIPAA, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and patient-centered care skills
