About the role

The Barnabas Health Medical Group, in collaboration with the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, invites applications for a Medical Director in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Somerset.

Responsibilities

• Leader of the pathology laboratory at RWJUH-Somerset, responsible for oversight of all aspects of the laboratory operation.
• Provide leadership for staff, plan, organize and direct the activities of the Laboratory with the assistance of managers, supervisors and senior technologists.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant, closely collaborating with physicians and other health care providers.
• Provide clinical direction to the Somerset laboratory, including laboratory oversight, test validation and maintenance of College of American Pathologists accreditation of the laboratory.
• Consulting with clinical staff and participating in tumor boards.

Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years experience, an MD, DO, or MBBS, board certification in AP/CP, a New Jersey Medical License, and eligibility for a New Jersey Bioanalytical Laboratory Director License are required.

• Experience in a CAP accredited laboratory is desirable.

Benefits

• Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position for the successful candidate is $400,000 to $490,000 per year.
• We offer generous sign-on bonuses.
