Medical Director, Interventional Radiology

About the role

The physician is a member of the healthcare team who works in collaboration with other staff to provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients. The scope of practice of each physician is defined through the health system’s credentialing and privileging committee. The Physician supports objectives, budget, and performance metrics at the individual level. Supports all medical activities at the individual level including implementation of quality control standards, risk management and compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality clinical care to patients in a timely manner.
• Support medical activities including implementation of quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure comprehensive healthcare services.

Requirements

• Doctorate from accredited medical school is required.
• One year of medical/surgical experience is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to Practice Medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions is required.
