Medical Director / Clinical Authority Partner
About the Role
Halo is building a modern, diagnostics-first healthcare platform focused on prevention, longitudinal health optimization, and AI-assisted clinical interpretation. We're looking for a physician partner to help establish the clinical authority and infrastructure layer that lets us responsibly support insurance-compatible lab requisitions, advanced diagnostics, limited prescription workflows, and clinically governed preventive care.
This role is designed for a forward-thinking physician who believes healthcare should be more proactive, more data-driven, more personalized, and more intelligent over time.
What You'll Help Build
You'll help shape the clinical backbone of a platform integrating blood biomarkers, genetics, gut microbiome testing, hormone testing, wearable data, longitudinal tracking, and AI-assisted interpretation. This is not a traditional telemedicine role. Our goal is scalable infrastructure: software handles orchestration, automation reduces administrative burden, and clinicians focus on governance, oversight, and the high-value decisions that actually require a human.
Responsibilities
- Provide physician-level clinical governance across the platform
- Support compliant diagnostics workflows across modalities
- Help establish prescribing guardrails and escalation protocols
- Support LabCorp and Quest ordering workflows
- Assist with CPT and ICD-10 strategy as we expand insurance-compatible pathways
- Help shape the diagnostic-first patient journey from a clinical perspective
- Participate in preventive medicine strategy at the platform level
- Help guide clinical expansion as Halo scales
- Collaborate on AI-assisted care models and where the clinical line should be drawn
Qualifications
We're especially interested in physicians with experience in functional medicine, longevity medicine, preventive medicine, integrative health, concierge medicine, or technology-enabled healthcare. Any one of those is a strong signal.
The traits that matter most are an entrepreneurial mindset, comfort with systems thinking, genuine enthusiasm for AI-assisted medicine, and the willingness to engage with diagnostics-first care as a serious model rather than a niche curiosity.
About Halo
Most healthcare systems are reactive, fragmented, symptom-driven, and administratively overloaded. We believe the future is longitudinal, preventative, diagnostics-first, and AI-assisted, and we're building the infrastructure to make that future operational.
Partnership Structure
We're open to fractional involvement, advisory relationships, strategic partnerships, equity participation, or long-term clinical collaboration. The right structure depends on the right person. We'd rather find someone we want to work with for years and figure out the arrangement around that than start with a fixed role description.
Long-Term Vision
The goal isn't to build another clinic. We're building infrastructure for a new model of healthcare, where diagnostics drive personalization, AI improves synthesis, and clinicians are empowered with longitudinal intelligence instead of bound by 15-minute visits.
