About the role
We are seeking a strong Medical Director to help lead and shape the future of our Meridian hospital.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the local medical leader, overseeing all specialty and emergency doctors
- Foster a culture that supports engaged and empowered caregivers who embody MedVet's core values of Teamwork, Leadership, and Compassion
- Partner with the Hospital Director to evaluate, plan, and implement best-in-class healthcare delivery
- Provide strategic direction, promote diversity of thought, and support both operational and medical excellence
Requirements
- Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
- Board certification in one or more specialties
- Experience in hospital leadership and management
- Strong clinical skills and a passion for veterinary medicine
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Proven ability to manage and mentor staff
- Passionate about veterinary medicine and animal welfare
