Medical Director

About the role

We’re partnering with a mission-driven healthcare organization in Wichita, Kansas to find an experienced Medical Director who wants to combine patient care with meaningful clinical leadership. This is a unique opportunity for a physician who still enjoys practicing medicine but also wants a voice in shaping how care is delivered.

The Medical Director will spend approximately 16 hours per week providing direct patient care, while also leading and developing a talented team of physicians and advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and clinical leadership for a growing primary care organization
• Mentor, coach, and develop physicians, PAs, and NPs
• Drive improvements in quality, patient experience, and clinical outcomes
• Help expand services and improve access to care
• Partner closely with executive leadership on strategy and clinical operations
• Oversee provider performance, productivity, and quality standards
• Play an important role in developing relationships with medical schools, residents, and community partners
• Continue practicing medicine and staying connected to patients

Requirements

• Board-Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician
• Strong clinical judgment and a collaborative leadership style
• Genuine desire to serve the community
• Experience in an FQHC, community health center, or similar mission-driven environment (valuable but not required)
• Eligible to work in the US
