Medical Courier – Independent Contractor (Use Your Own Vehicle)

About the role

GO2 Delivery connects independent couriers with pharmacies, hospitals, and labs across Central Virginia that need time-sensitive deliveries. You choose when you work and which routes you accept. We're adding contractors in the Richmond area now, especially those available afternoons, evenings, and weekends, when pharmacy volume is highest.

Local pharmacy, specimen, and medical deliveries are available 7 days a week. Pharmacy demand peaks from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM on weekdays, with routes available throughout the day on weekends. More availability gives you access to more route opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Picking up and delivering STAT medical items, including pharmaceuticals, lab specimens, and other time-sensitive healthcare orders
• Meeting client delivery windows and following site-specific instructions
• Completing chain-of-custody and proof-of-delivery documentation required by healthcare clients
• Coordinating with GO2 dispatch on accepted runs
• Following client facility standards at pickup and delivery locations

Requirements

• Have a reliable, well-maintained vehicle and enjoy driving
• Open to afternoon, evening, or weekend routes, and to long-distance runs if you want the higher-paying STAT work
• Communicate clearly and pay attention to detail
• Take healthcare deliveries seriously, because accuracy and timing matter
• Age 23 or older (insurance requirement)
• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record: no DUIs in the past 10 years and no more than 2 moving violations
• Commercial auto insurance with at least $100K/$300K liability and a deductible of $5,000 or less
• Passing criminal background check
• Reliable vehicle suited for local and extended routes
