Responsibilities
- Meet and maintain all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards.
- Generate, decipher, and correct medical documentation in accordance with federal guidelines.
- Perform daily audits of Portal documentation to ensure compliance with medical clearance process.
- Assess and monitor health conditions, assist with procedures, operate medical equipment, administer vaccines, medications, and treatments.
- Validate systems of records for required facility documentation and reporting to meet Compass Connections, federal, and state guidelines.
- Communicate and consult with the Lead Medical Coordinator and Regional Director on policy and procedure issues.
- Develop health and medical related protocols and procedures for federal programs.
- Participate in scheduled meetings, team decisions, and operations.
- Maintain complete and confidential health care records and information in compliance with information privacy and PHI requirements.
- Recognize and respond to signs of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and sexually provocative behavior.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize daily work using sound judgment.
- Know and follow Compass Connections safety protocols, including evacuating during emergencies.
- Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.
- Maintain professional conduct and ethics as outlined in the Compass Connections employee handbook.
- Collect, enter, and ensure documentation for medical staff at designated sites.
- Supervise and coordinate medical staff, perform clinic duties, and train medical staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation for designated sites in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Meet all program and federal partners' documentation and processes requirements.
Requirements
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
- Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
- Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
- Ability to respond sensitively and competently to cultural and socio-economic characteristics of the service population.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers, and professionals.
- Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure.
- Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
- Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
- Must provide current physical-medical release and proof of immunizations, titers, or exemptions for various vaccinations.
- Able to perform physical activities such as extensive walking, lifting, stretching, and bending.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Able to maintain professional people skills, including oral, written, listening, and non-verbal communication skills.
