Medical Compliance Specialist (RN or LPN)

About the role

This role supports the review of DOT and company policy for completeness and compliance to applicable DOT agency or company statement of work. It involves determining an individual's ability to work based on regulations under the guidance of the Director of Medical Services, Chief Medical Office, or designated Medical review office.

Responsibilities

• Review and report examinations
• Obtain information from the employee or examiner if needed to make a medical qualification determination
• Educate deficient examiners by sending memorandums of correction for flawed examinations
• Act as an agent of the Director of Medical Services or Chief Medical Office, informing client representatives of their employees' qualification determinations

Qualifications

• Education: LPN or RN
• Experience: Nurse with 4 years experience in functional area
• Knowledge & Skill: Knowledge of technical discipline and work processes, provides investigative, analytic or diagnostic services, analyzes possible solutions, assesses using standard procedures, responds to non-standard requests, makes decisions within guidelines and policies
