Medical Center Representative - Call Team (Remote)

About the role

The Call Team Medical Center Representative is responsible for answering a multi-level call queue to provide support to patients in regards to scheduling, insurance, balances and to transfer calls to other departments when needed. The position's hours are Monday - Friday from 8:15 - 4:45 - no holidays or weekends!

Responsibilities

• Answering the multi-line call queue, monitoring wait times, and limiting dropped calls
• Adequately screen calls prior to transferring to other departments
• Review and advise patients of balances
• Create patient cases and document notes from patient interactions appropriately
• Ensure schedules are filled and communicate with senior schedulers on provider's availability

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Drivers' License
• Pass a pre-employment criminal background and drug screen
• Immunization for Tuberculosis (TB) or willingness to be vaccinated on the first day of employment
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of medical office experience
• Experience working with Athena health insurance coverages
• Experience working in a remote work environment
• Understanding of HIPPA, Section 1557, Interpreter Policy, Code of Conduct, and Fraud

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Strong organizational skills
