About the role
Responsible for processing insurance claims, ensuring accurate billing, and maintaining patient records.
Responsibilities
- Review and process insurance claims in a timely manner
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with insurance regulations
- Maintain patient medical records and ensure confidentiality
- Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing issues
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and other regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business administration, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in medical billing or related field
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems (e.g., CPT, ICD-10)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Skills
- Coding and billing software proficiency (e.g., Meditech, Epic)
- Basic knowledge of medical billing laws and regulations
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
