Primary Responsibilities
- Billing, claims filing, data entry, charge entry
- Insurance follow up, denial management, payment posting
- Billing records review, customer service
- Daily bill and submit Rural Health Clinic claims
- Daily research and resubmit corrections and appeals
- Daily reconcile EOBs to post payments
- Maintain and update billing software information
- Routinely meet with the Billing Team Supervisor
- Routinely prepare and send patient statements
- Reply to medical records requests, complete additional information requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2+ years medical claims billing
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- PREFERRED: Associates degree or higher
- PREFERRED: Certification in one of the following: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist Physician (CCSP), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Coder Payer (CPC-P), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC/CPCH)
