Medical Biller - O'Fallon, MO - Gateway Asthma & Allergy

Who We Are Seeking

• Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience
• Strong understanding of insurance regulations and revenue cycle management
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail
• Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent
• A Billing & Coding Certificate or completion of schooling is not required, but preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of the different types of health insurance plans; i.e. HMO’s, PPO’s, etc.
• PC/Windows proficiency

Specialty Experience Preferred

• Previous Allergy & Immunology billing experience
• Understanding/experience with allergy skin testing
• Understanding/experience with spirometry and pulmonary function testing
• Understanding/experience with patch testing
• Knowledge of Biologic medications (e.g., Xolair, Dupixent, Tezspire, Nucala, Fasenra, Cinqair)
• Knowledge of Medicare, Missouri Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
• CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding experience specific to Allergy & Immunology

• Pay range will be between $18.00 - $24.00/hour (factors considered will include relevant work experience and education with higher rates being considered for candidates with a specific Allergy & Immunology background)
