About the role

The Medical Associate plays a vital role in supporting and facilitating medical training initiatives across Teach to Transform’s global partnerships. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone with a heart for missions and a desire to equip others with life-saving skills while sharing the love of Christ in underserved and unreached areas.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of medical training programs for international partners
  • Serve as a medical trainer, assistant, or table leader during overseas trips (typically 1–4 times per year)
  • Support the development of culturally appropriate training materials and curriculums
  • Collaborate with national ministry leaders to understand local health challenges and adapt training accordingly
  • Provide guidance and encouragement to trainees and local facilitators
  • Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of medical training modules
  • Help monitor and report on program impact, including participant outcomes and spiritual growth
  • Aid in logistics and team coordination, including travel planning, supply inventory, and packing for overseas training trips
  • Support training team volunteers and ensure smooth on-site execution

Qualifications

  • A medical background is preferred
  • Experience in medical education, missions, or community health is preferred
  • Strong communication and cross-cultural skills are required
  • A spiritually mature individual with a heart for evangelism and discipleship is essential
  • Willingness to travel internationally to hard places (up to 4 trips per year) is necessary
  • An adaptable, flexible, and resource-limited setting-friendly mindset is crucial
