Medical Assisting Faculty

About the Role

This position is based at ECPI University’s Raleigh, NC campus. ECPI University has been helping students achieve their goals through practical training and career-focused education since 1966, offering over 50 Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and Master’s programs. We are seeking Medical Assisting professionals to join our faculty team to provide practical, hands-on instruction in an engaging learning environment, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning and achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Teach Medical Assisting courses in five-week intervals in small classes.
• Share valuable industry experience in a nurturing environment.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in the teaching discipline or specialty area from a regionally accredited educational institution.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Appropriate technical certification or licensure (if required).
• Minimum of three years of occupational experience in the subject field.
• Current Certification of Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
• Two years of teaching or presentation experience is a plus.

Skills

• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to work with a variety of learning styles and skill levels.
• Strong time management skills and detail-orientation.
• Working knowledge of computer applications and the ability to quickly learn new computer software.
• Experience with distance learning or learning management systems (LMS) preferred.
