Medical Assistant - Wilmington

Avance Care is a growing network of 37 practice locations across the Triangle Area (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill), the Charlotte Region, and Wilmington, NC. As a Medical Assistant, you'll play an essential role in delivering high-quality patient care. Working closely with our providers, you'll help ensure every patient has a positive, efficient, and compassionate healthcare experience.

Schedule

This is a full-time role involving 8-hour weekday shifts. The position primarily works with one provider.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam/treatment rooms
• Triage patients as necessary
• Administer vaccines and injections
• Record patient data prior to the physician's visit
• Assist physicians with exams and a wide variety of procedures
• Administer medications
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed
• Maintain proper disinfection protocols
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging
• Phone in prescriptions and distribute proper medications as ordered by the provider

Qualifications

• CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT certification preferred
• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience
