Medical Assistant Westshore Primary Care Westlake

About the role

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. This role includes but not limited to rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in the electronic medical record, assisting with procedures, supporting providers, and promoting efficient patient flow while delivering patient-centered care.

Primary location: United States-Ohio-Westlake, 26908 Detroit Road.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow.
• Responsible for all front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
• Performs patient centered care delegated by Provider.
• Provides a safe environment for patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• Maintains Protected Health Information (PHI) securely; completes annual training and follows UH Code of Conduct and policies.

Requirements

• Education: Completion of a Medical Assistant Program (Required) and High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
• Work Experience: 1+ years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant (Required)
• Licenses and Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant (
