About the role
MaxHealth in Wesley Chapel is seeking a full-time Bilingual (Spanish) Medical Assistant to oversee patient care, prepare rooms, assist physicians, and handle front desk tasks.
Responsibilities
- Greet and triage patients upon arrival
- Prepare examination and procedure rooms
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing documents like pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results
- Assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments
Requirements
- Experience as a Medical Assistant (1+ years)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Computer proficiency (experience with EMR/EHR systems)
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required)
- Competitive starting salary of $20.00 per hour

A Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant
As a Medical Assistant, you are directly involved in ensuring focused and empathetic patient care at all times. You greet and triage patients warmly, prepare rooms, obtain histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements, perform administrative tasks, and assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments. You maintain a calming presence for patients while thriving in a fast-paced environment.
