Medical Assistant-Vascular Surgery Huntley Full Time Days

Job Description

This is a Full Time position at 40 hours per week located at the Huntley clinic and will require travel to McHenry clinic as needed. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Accurately obtains and documents vital signs, allergies, smoking history, and pharmacy information.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms, sets up equipment, and maintains inventory.
• Assists with medical and surgical procedures, including ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Communicates with patients and the patient care team, prioritizes tasks, and ensures patient flow.
• Participates in environmental safety rounds and monitors equipment.
• Completes delegated procedures and maintains patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification in one of the following: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA).
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills preferred.
